Dennis M. Pilawa

Dennis M.Pilawa, a native of Utica, New York, relocated to Cleveland to pursue legal education at Case Western Reserve University. With a passion for community engagement, Mr.Pilawa actively participates in various civic and school organizations. He has worked both as in-house counsel and in private practice, serving various client needs. Mr. Pilawa has developed his practice and focus in the following areas: Employment/Employment Practices Liability, Product Liability/Toxic Tort, Premises Liability, Construction, Professional Negligence, Insurance Coverage/Bad Faith, Auto Liability, Transactional Matters, Intellectual Property, and all areas of Insurance Defense. Dennis has been named to the list of Ohio Super Lawyers each year from 2009 to 2024 based upon peer review and evaluation. Only 5% of Ohio lawyers are honored in this manner. In addition, Dennis has been named one of Ohio’s Top 100 Lawyers and to the list of the Top 50 Lawyers in Cleveland, as well as being recognized in the U.S. News Best Lawyers in America for 2023.

In 2009, Dennis received a prestigious honor when he was selected as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. This society is exclusively for trial lawyers, and membership is invitation-only. Only 3500 Fellows are accepted, less than 0.5% of all American lawyers. The selection process involves evaluating the effectiveness and accomplishment of an individual's litigation and trial work and their ethical reputation. Dennis has since been promoted to the position of Senior Fellow.
